About

The Vienna Circle

The Vienna Circle is the official reading group of the UNE Mathematical Logic Research Group. Inspired by the original Vienna Circle—a collective of logicians, philosophers, and mathematicians who revolutionized formal thought—this group explores a new subject in mathematical logic each month.

Sponsored by Wolfram, Vienna’s Circle goes beyond traditional reading discussions. Each week, members not only engage in rigorous problem-solving and revision sessions but also learn how to use Mathematica to assist with the subject material. Whether working through classic texts in logic, proof theory, or model theory, participants gain both theoretical insights and practical computational tools to deepen their understanding.

Join us in continuing the tradition of logical inquiry.
